♪There’s a Hole in the World tonight There’s a cloud of fear and sorrow There’s a hole in the world tonight Don’t let there be a hole in the world tomorrow♪

How true does this song appear Dearest Lord. Thank You that You are far bigger. Greater. Better. More glorious and gracious than every problem this world has. Thank You Father that You alone are good!

How grateful I am for Your Word Dear Lord. Psalm 14:3. Romans 3:19-20. And again Philippians 4:8.

It’s how I got to sleep last night. Once again trying to remember all eight of the “whatever”s. I want to find the translation that makes it most conducive to memorization. I know [trust, believe] You can make this happen for me. Even especially after all these years of trying on my own.

Taking a side trip from the whatevers for the moment, I am thrilled to be reading Paul’s Charge to Timothy (2 Timothy 3:10-4:8). How perfectly it syncs to The Eagles’ mournful cry of there being a hole in the world tonight. Encouraging there not to be one tomorrow.

Father God, we are so blessed to know You. To be loved by You. Use us in sharing Your Truth. Pointing to You. Remaining faithful (v. 14).

“All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong [♪There’s a hole in the world tonight…♪] and teaches us what is right [Don’t let there be a hole in the world tomorrow♪]” (2 Timothy 3:16).

Continue Your work in blessing and keeping us Dearest Lord. Make Your face shine on us [Your people collectively] and be gracious to us. Lift up Your face upon us and give us Your peace (Numbers 6:24-26).

Father, I love, need, trust and want You. Do all You must in, with, by, through and for us this day that we will truly glorify and enjoy You all the days of our lives. Thank You. Praise You. Amen.
