superlatives

 Sunday, March 13, 2022 (7:38 a.m.)

Father God,

Thank You that You are good. And holy. And an entire list of superlatives.

(8:51 a.m.)

Thank You that I get to turn to You no matter my thoughts or circumstances. You are faithful. And just. Eternal. Constant.

Turning to Your Word, the smiles of my heart appear readily on my face. And I am truly grateful.

Yes Lord. Looking to You and Your faithfulness, I rest. Secure in Your promises. Thank You.

David’s Prayer of Praise. “Yours, O LORD, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty [superlatives]. Everything in the heavens and on earth is Yours, O LORD, and this is Your kingdom. We adore You as the One who is over all things. Riches and honor come from You alone, for You rule over everything. Power and might are in Your hand, and it is at Your discretion that people are made great and given strength” (1 Chronicles 29:11-12).

Paul’s Prayer for Spiritual Empowering. “When I think of the wisdom and scope of God’s plan I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. I pray that from His glorious, unlimited resources He will give you mighty inner strength through His Holy Spirit. And I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in Your hearts as You trust in Him. May your roots go down deep into the soil of God’s marvelous love. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep His love really is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is so great [superlative!] you will never fully understand it. Then you will be filled with the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Now glory be to God! By His mighty power at work within us, He is able to accomplish infinitely [superlative] more than we would ever dare to ask or hope. May He be given glory in the church and in Christ Jesus forever and ever through endless ages” (Ephesians 3:14-21).
