ground zero

 Wednesday, March 9, 2022 (6:42 a.m.)

Blessed, Holy God,

Thank You. Praise You. Awake for hours. And finally ready to turn my thoughts and focus to You. Thank You Lord.

Again I say “Thank You God!” Another snippet of song. A fairly unfamiliar melody. And only two words. “... ground zero.”

Searching. Leaving it alone. And looking again.

Thank You for the addition of one word to the lyric search. “Christian.” Immediately the elusive song is found. Danny Gokey’s ♪Love God Love People♪

Talk about keeping things simple! Thank You God.

Thank You for the opportunity of reading lyrics that sing Your Truth. Actually repeating the importance of our need to ♪keep it real simple Bring everything right back to ground zero ‘Cause it all comes down to this Love God and love people♪

Yes! Ground zero. Love God and love people. Thank You God.

Reading. Smiling. Singing. Smiling more. Hoping. Wanting. Thinking. Wanting more. Thank You that You are the God who provides all our needs.

And how do we live as You would have us? In You. With You. By You. Through You. For You. Empower and enable to this end dear Lord.

We are blessed to have your Word at our fingertips. Make it so I actually live it, not just read it.

I want to “listen much, speak little, and not become angry” (James 1:19). Amplified Bible says, “… quick to hear [be a careful, thoughtful listener], slow to speak [a speaker of carefully chosen words] and slow to anger [patient, reflective, forgiving].” Oh yes please Dear Lord!

You know and have provided Your best for each of us. Here I ask You to fully equip me to “Be kind and helpful to one another, tender-hearted [compassionate, understanding], forgiving one another [readily and freely], just as God in Christ also forgave us” (Ephesians 4:32).

Mm, yes Father. Do all You must that I ♪keep it real simple Bring everything back to ground zero ‘Cause it all comes down to this Love God and love people… It’s how we change the world Love God and love people♪

Thank You Praise You. I love You. Use me. Amen.
