shining brightly

Blessed God,

Thank You for the work You are doing in us. The Life Recovery Bible comment for Philippians 2:12-18 tells us, “God not only asks us to live a godly life, He also provides us with the power to do it. He works in us, giving us the desire and the ability to obey Him.”

We see Your work in us every day. Our reactions and responses are so much more in line with the mercy and grace that You provide us than the erratic behaviors we used to regularly demonstrate. You are changing us. And we are so incredibly grateful. Thank You.

Verse 13 of Philippians 2 says, “For God is working in you, giving you the desire to obey Him and the power to do what pleases Him.” And I again say, “Thank You!” Thank You for all Your work on our behalf.

Back to the comment for this section of Scripture, “As we get to know God by reading the Bible and spending time with Him in prayer, He can transform us from the inside out so we can shine brightly for Him.” You are doing exactly that. We see it in each other. And we know it comes from You. Thank You Father.

Use us this day. Exactly as You wish. Empower us to shine brightly on Your behalf. We love You and long to serve You – well! Thank You. We love You. Amen.
