"You alone are God."

Friday, March 6, 2020 (6:53 a.m.)
Holy God,

Thank You. Yes Lord. Thank You.

Hard questions have been asked of me. Causing me to think deeply. Look to You. Trust. Believe. Know that You alone are God.

Ah, yes! “You alone are God” (Psalm 86:10b).

Have I been trying to do Your work? Maybe indeed I have.

Father, I’m here with clearer thinking. Truly considering what is my business. And all that is not.

“You alone are God.” Let that be my phrase for the day. You alone know what is best. “For You are great, and You do wonders” (v.10a).

Holy God, I am genuinely wanting to learn and know and do Your will. Even as I look more deeply into this desire I am flooded with Your peace.

Turning to Romans 12:2 I am again reminded of Your transforming power. “Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will know what God wants you to do, and you will know how good and pleasing and perfect His will really is.”

Good. And pleasing. And perfect. Yes Lord. Teach me more about Your will.

Illustrate Bible Handbook. “An Appeal for Commitment; 12:1, 2. When we offer ourselves to live for the Lord (cf. 6:15-23 [Freedom to Obey God] ), we begin a process of inner transformation which will lead to an entirely new outlook on life. Only by refusing to be squeezed into the ways in which people of this world relate to others will we be able, together, to experience the good and pleasing will of God for us.”

Yes Lord! Your good and pleasing will for us.

I love You Father. I long to live this day for You. With You. In You. By You. Through You. “You alone are God.”

The Passion Translation, “You are the one and only God. What miracles! What wonders! What greatness belongs to You!”

Do all You must dearest Lord in changing me into the woman You would have me be. One who loves You with all my heart, soul, mind and strength (Mark 12:30); loving my neighbor as myself (31).

“There’s no one quite like you among the gods, O Lord, and nothing to compare with Your works. All the nations you made are on their way, ready to give honor to You, O Lord, Ready to put Your beauty on display, parading your greatness, And the great things You do - God, You’re the one, there’s no one but You!” The Message.

“You alone are God!” Yes Lord. Empower me to live this day exhibiting Your Truth. Use me to Your glory and the good of others.

I love You. I need You. I want You. I thank You. In Jesus’ most holy name I pray. Amen.
