ameliorate

Wednesday, February 12, 2020 (6:20 a.m.)
Blessed God,

Good morning. Thank You for uninterrupted sleep. Mm, yes. Uninterrupted sleep. Another thing I’ve often taken for granted.
(6:46 a.m.)
I just learned another new to me word. Ameliorate.
(3:04 p.m.)

Interesting word, as words go. Stemming from a French word meaning “better”.

You’ve been doing that for us Father. Helping things improve. Get better. Thanks Father.

Thank You for the changes You’ve been making through the years. Enabling us to recognize unseemly behaviors and amend them.

A sudden change of plans. An irritated remark. Followed almost immediately by an apology. And quick resolution.

Something that may have taken days to resolve in the past, forgiven in a matter of moments. Thank You Father.

Your Word has much to say regarding RESTITUTION. RESTORATION. FORGIVENESS. And RECONCILIATION.

You have so much for us to learn about Your love. And peace. Giving. Serving. Personal boundaries. And forgiveness.

Father, I am so incredibly thankful to be one of Your children. Learning to love You, others and myself as I go [grow].

Yes Lord. You continue growing us. Ameliorating us. Making us better. New actually.

Yes. You make us new. You take out our ‘stony hearts of sin and give us new obedient hearts’ (Ezekiel 36:26b; 18:31; 11:19) instead. Not better [ameliorated]. New!

Thank You Father. Keep doing all You know is best. In, with, by, through and for us. Thanks for being our Daddy God. We love You. Use us. Amen.
