love song lyrics

Thursday, August 16, 2018 (5:45 a.m.)
Holy God,

The day is off to a questionable start. Things are not currently to my liking. Forgive me I pray. I am being inconvenienced. That’s all.

(6:29 a.m.)
Hmm… That’s all?

Blessed God, thank You that I get to bring You all my thoughts. The growls and grumbles.

Yep. I was inconvenienced. Nothing more than minor frustrations. My own plans not working out in my time frame.

Thank You that You are bigger. Better. Thank You for taking what I have to offer and setting it to music again and again.
(6:52 a.m.)

Thank You for loving me so much more than my behavior and emotions warrant. Mm, yes Father. Thank You that Your love surpasses all. The epitome of unconditional.

Fresh air seeping deeply into my being allows me to once again rest in Your presence. Saying over and over, “I love You Father.”

Thank You for the ability and inclination to look up the lyrics to love songs as they come to mind. Thank You for being able to breathe deeply and imagine You singing them to me, as well as me singing them back to You.

First was ♪That’s All♪ and the peace that came as I considered myself truly being loved by You as this song describes. Then ♪After the Lovin’♪ popped in as I thanked You for taking me as I am.

You never cease to amaze me Father. The phrase ♪And thanks for turning me Into a someone♪ brings chills to me as I realize more and more just what Your love for each of us cost. Your Son! Wow.

Thank You Father. Thank You that I get to mope and whine and be surly and still You love me. Minor irritations are nothing to You. You will set me straight every single time I come to You. And I am grateful. So incredibly grateful.

Thank You Father. Thank You for doing all You must in turning me into the someone You would have me be. Yours! Fully, completely, absolutely Yours.

I love You Father. Thank You for the love songs You sing to us regularly. Tune my ears that I will hear them clearly. Readily.

I love You. I thank You. I need You. I want You. Use me I pray, to Your good and to Your glory. Thank You. Amen.
