about kindness

Friday, August 10, 2018 (7:11 a.m.)
Oh Most Holy God,

There’s so much meanness in the world.
(8:00 a.m.)
Thank You that Your Word has so much to say about kindness.

Father, I love You. Thank You for Your love. And Your kindness. Thank You for Your mercy. The Holy Spirit. Your generosity. Jesus Christ, our Savior. Your justifying grace. And the hope of eternal life (Titus 3:4-7).

Oh yes Most Holy God, teach us to live as Your Word repeatedly tells us. Here from Colossians 3:12, “Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.”

Mm, yes Father. Please.

I have tears as Jason Mraz music plays in the background while I’m reading from Illustrated Bible Handbook. “COLOSSIANS Chapter 3. Christ, The Pattern for a Fulfilling Life The Glory of Love; 3:5-14.

Use us Father. “What is a truly spiritual life like? It is simply a daily walk in which we forgive others as the Lord forgave us; in which we are compassionate, kind, humble, gentle and patient (12-14). It is simply living with others the kind of life that Jesus lived when He walked on earth, and thus to reveal the loving and holy character of our God. Fulfillment and spiritual reality are not found in the exciting and the spectacular. What counts with God is a life of love lived in the real world. This is the life that Jesus yearns to live within us.
9:56 a.m.)

Oh yes Most Blessed God. Live in, with, by, through and for us that we would truly become the people You created us to be.

I love You Father. Continue Your teaching about kindness. Thank You. Amen.
