radically united

 Friday, July 14, 2023 (4:53 a.m.)

Good morning Lord,

I love You and don’t have a lot to say. Thank You for working in and through me yesterday.

(5:39 a.m.)

Thank You for this opportunity to sit with You. Chewing on Your Word. Savoring it for the Truth that it is.

Paul wrote to thank and encourage the Philippian believers. Thank You Father for his obedience to You and Your call on his life.

Thank You that we are privileged to have such ready access to his letters. Calling and reminding us to live each day as a member of Christ’s body. One small part of a greater whole. A community. Radically united for one purpose. Knowing Christ and making Him the center of our life every day.

Philippians 2:1-2. “Is there any encouragement from belonging to Christ? Any comfort from His love? Any fellowship together in the Spirit? Are your hearts tender and compassionate? Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another and working together with one mind and purpose.”

Yes. Please Lord!

“Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too. You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had” (vs. 3-5).

Father God, I look to You to empower me in following Your call on our lives. Loving You, others and ourselves with all of our hearts, souls, minds and strength (Mark 12:30-31).

Thank You for yet another verse on which to stand firmly and stay our minds. “For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases Him” (Philippians 2:13). Thank You that You do Dear Lord.

Use me this day [which You have made (Psalm 118:24a)] that I will truly rejoice and be glad in it (24b). I love, need, trust and want You. Thank You. Praise You. Amen.
