very early morning

Thursday, August 1, 2019 (4:46 a.m.)
Good morning Blessed God,

Good very early morning.
(6:44 a.m.)

Yes Father. Very early morning.

Talk with me this morning about coming before You. Studying with You. Hearing Your voice in the very early morning hours.

How I thank You Father. Thank You that You are the first place I want to come in the morning. The very early morning.

In turning to You, I come to the first five chapters in the book of Psalms. Described in The Life Recovery Bible, the purpose of this book was “to demonstrate that God is holy and loving and intimately involved in every aspect of our human experience.” Thank You Father.

Yes. Thank You. Thank You for the “honest emotion” with which these Psalms were penned. Setting the stage for us to “pour out our anguish and adoration, our suffering and confessions, our hopes and fears.”

Reading the titles and descriptions under RECOVERY THEMES, I notice the smiles I am exhibiting. Both internally and externally.

Truth Brings Healing. Legitimate Doubts and Complaints. God’s Power of Deliverance. The Necessity of Forgiveness. Yes Father. It’s in turning to You and Your Word that we get to experience hope. Thanks Dad.

I settle in as The Passion Translation says this of the first three verses. “The Genesis Psalms Psalms of man and creation The Tree of Life What delight comes to the one who follows God’s ways!” Yes, Father.

“He won’t walk in step with the wicked, nor share the sinner’s way, nor be found sitting in the scorner’s seat. His pleasure and passion is remaining true to the Word of ‘I Am,’ meditating day and night in the true revelation of light. He will be standing firm like a flourishing tree planted by God’s design, deeply rooted by the brooks of bliss [oh just look at that smile!], bearing fruit in every season of his life. He is never dry, never fainting, ever blessed, ever prosperous.”

How does this translate to my heart? My soul? My mind? And my strength? With hope. Pure unadulterated hope. Hope in You. In Your Word. In Your Truth. In Your promises.

Yes Father. I awoke in the very early morning. Believing I was being given some important ideas from You. As I attempt to implement them; I ask You to go within, without, before, behind, beside, beneath and above me. Keeping me focused and obedient to Your leading.

I love You Father. And I ask not only Your guidance, but Your blessing as well. Thank You God. I love You. Amen.
