potential for growth

Wednesday, August 28, 2019 (6:11 a.m.)
Father God,

I come to You. Looking to You. Waiting for You. Expecting You to work all things together for Your good (Romans 8:28). Yes Father.

I know You to be good. I believe there is growth in the struggle. And right now Lord there is a lot of potential for growth! Thank You Father.

Thank You that in the midst of pain and indecision Your Word is here. Your Truth. Your promises. The hope we have in You is real. Circumstances can be gut wrenching, headache causing and still we get to forsake fear and trust You.

Thank You Lord. Thank You that Your love is real. Thank You that we get to believe that You love us. And if You are for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31)

Blessed, Holy Father God. I am here at Your feet. Crying out to the Creator of the Universe. Asking, seeking, knocking (Matthew 7:7). Begging, pleading, beseeching You to do all You know is best in causing positive, healthy growth in the lives of our loved ones.

You are our good and holy Father. Your Word tells us “… the Holy Spirit helps us with our daily problems and in our praying. For we don’t even know what we should pray for nor how to pray as we should, but the Holy Spirit prays for us with such feeling that it cannot be expressed in words” (Romans 8:26, The Living Bible).

The tears in my eyes represent the distress in my heart. Father God, You know Your best for all involved. How I ask Your loving presence be felt by those most in need of it.

Illustrated Bible Handbook tells us, “We have the confidence that whatever enters our life is destined for good, that we might grow toward likeness to Jesus and our destiny (26-30).” This I absolutely ask on behalf of family and friends.

Lord, I love You. Do all You know is best in working everything together for Your good. We love You. We need You. We depend on You. We cry out to You. We ask You. We thank You. Grow us as You know is best. Thank You Father. Amen.
