"as You wish"

Tuesday, April 24, 2018 (6:44 a.m.)
Holy God,

How I thank You Father. I woke with the phrase, “As You wish” prominently in my mind. These are the words I long to use in obedience to Your leading.

Reading in Proverbs (8:1-11) and 1 Kings (5:8-9) I settle in to 2 Peter (1:16-18). Thank You Father. My heart simultaneously cozies up and becomes excited [agog] while reading of Your grace and truth, power and forgiveness, help and hope.

A REFLECTION in The Life Recovery Bible tells us, “Peter wanted to etch the truth of God’s amazing love into their minds. We must work through our painful memories (they don’t disappear on their own!), but as we do, we can reflect on God’s majesty and amazing love. As we recall the good things God has done, the painful memories will begin to fade.”

Mm, yes Father. You are so incredibly good (Matthew 19:17). Jesus, You are the Author and Perfecter of our faith (Hebrews12:2). It is just and right (Proverbs 21:3) that I would come to whole-heartedly reply, “As You wish” as You lead.

I love You. I long to walk with You “as You wish”.  ♪Then in fellowship sweet we will sit at His feet, Or we’ll walk by His side in the way; What He says we will do, where He sends we will go - Never fear, only trust and obey♪ (Romans 16:26).

This I pray, Blessed God. Continue Your work in me that I would truly come to love “as You wish”. Thank You. I love You. Amen.
