"Truth Be Told"

 Monday, May 9, 2022 (6:51 a.m.)

Thank You Lord,

I recognized the tune right way. Then came the chorus.

♪I say, “I’m fine, yeah, I’m fine, oh, I’m fine, hey, I’m fine But I’m not I’m broken♪ And finally, the title. “Truth Be Told”

Mm, yes Dear Lord. Truth be told! Your Truth be told.

Singing. And now smiling. What a great way to start the day. Thank You Father.

Turning to Paul’s letter to the believers at Colosse, I am encouraged. Written “to show us that Christ is the only real source of power in our life.” The smile grows all the larger.

Paul’s goal “for many other friends who have never known me personally” (Colossians 2:1) “is that they will be encouraged and knit together by strong ties of love” (v. 2a). Truth be told, Lord? I want that too.

“I want them to have full confidence because they have complete understanding of God’s secret plan, which is Christ Himself. In Him lie hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge” (2b-3).

Because of Your love for each and every single one of us, I don’t need to pretend to be or feel anything I’m not. Thank You Jesus.

“I am telling you this so that no one will be able to deceive you with persuasive arguments” (4). Let Your Truth be told. And known Dear Lord!

Keep me singing Your Truth this day. ♪And when it’s out of control I say it’s under control But it’s not and You know it I don’t know why it’s so hard to admit it When bein’ honest is the only way to fix it There’s no failure, no fall There’s no sin You don’t already know So let the Truth be told♪

Oh yes Blessed God, let Your Truth be told in, with, by, through and for me all of this day. Thank You. Praise You. I love, need and want You. Amen.
