"Yes!"

“All that and the moon too.”
(7:12 a.m.)

Those are just the first few things that have gotten our attention so far this morning. And to these I do say, “Thank You Lord.” Yes! Thank You Lord.

Yes!

Lord God, how truly I thank You for the loving ways You provide hope for us. Dancing in the living room. Laughter. And the absolute breathtaking view of the earlier morning sky. All that color. And the moon too! Thank You Lord.

Let my response to this day be a resounding, “Yes!”

♪Yes, Lord, Yes! to Your will and to Your way...

And just as I was headed in one direction with a particular song, here I am with a completely different one. Each line more powerful than the one before it. Quoting Your Word in lyric form. Yes Lord!

♪Yes to Your Will♪ Kim Burrell.

Philippians 2:5
Matthew 6:33
Ephesians 3:20

All of this to remind us to ♪Let this mind be in you That was also in Christ Jesus Yes to Your will, Lord and to Your way Oh yes Lord, we will obey♪

The Voice says, “In other words, adopt the mind-set of Jesus the Anointed. Live with His attitude in your hearts...” (Philippians 2:5).

We are to ♪shun the very appearance of evil (1 Thessalonians 5:22)… Seek ye first the kingdom of God (Matthew 6:33)…♪ Absolutely knowing, trusting, believing that ♪God will do exceedingly and abundantly Above all that you ever ask or think (Ephesians 3:20)…♪

All of this because right now I am ready, willing and able to say, “Yes!” to You Lord. Yes! to Your will. Yes! To Your way.

I’m not gonna lie. It’s more than a little scary not knowing what’s going to happen next. We are in brand new territory these days and our natural tendencies can run toward fear. Thank You for reminding me with that beautiful sky just hours ago that You are still in charge.

Underlined in The Life Recovery Bible under RECOVERY THEMES (Philippians) subtitled Recovery Leads to True Joy: “…We can have joy even during the tough times - because real joy does not come from outward circumstances but from inward strength.”

Continuing on to the very next sentence I have another “Yes!” And an “Amen.”

“Joy comes from knowing Christ personally and from depending on His strength and power on a daily basis.”

Father God, I ask You use me this day exactly as You know is best. You are our good, good Father and I trust You to know all You are doing.

Yeah. That’s what our calendar for April quotes, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding” (Proverbs 3:5).

Taking it on to the next verse. “In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths” (6) I add again, “Yes!” Please.

I love You Lord. We need You. We trust You. We ask You. Do all You must. Thank You. Amen.
