Most Blessed, Holy God,

How I thank You. Sleep was interrupted. And I got to sing unexpectedly. ♪If Not For You♪

It seemed to come to me out of nowhere. Checking the lyrics just now I smile as I choose to believe that You always have our backs. Thank You Lord.

♪If not for You… I couldn’t even find the door I couldn’t even see the floor I’d be sad and blue If not for You♪ Thinking it somewhat corny at first, I continue nodding my head as I read ♪… the night would see me wide awake The day would surely have to break It would not be new If not for You♪

Yes Lord! The more I read the louder my heart sings. ♪If not for You My sky would fall Rain would gather too Without Your love, I’d be nowhere at all I’d be lost if not for You And You know if it’s true♪

Father, how I thank You for the ways You speak Your Truth to me. ♪If not for You Winter would hold no spring Couldn’t hear a robin sing I just wouldn’t have a clue, if not for you♪

Truth. Your blessed Truth!

Moving over to Your Word, I follow Paul as he Preaches at Rome under Guard (Acts 28:17-31). Welcoming visitors into his rented home. Sharing the Gospel with both Jews and Gentiles. “Boldly and without hindrance” (v. 31) preaching the kingdom of God and teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ.

He was not afraid. “Even under house arrest, Paul experienced the peace and contentment that come only by following God’s will” (The Life Recovery Bible 28:30-31 comment).

Lord, I want to share Your love and power as freely and openly as did Your prophets (see Isaiah 6:9-10) and apostles. Because of their experience with Your Holy Spirit they were aware that some would hear but not understand (v. 26). Hearts would be hardened and eyes not be able to see (27).

They knew what I am learning. We are in a world of hurt ♪If Not for You♪ Here I ask You Dearest Lord. Do all You must. In us. With us. By us. Through us. And for us. We love You. We thank You. And we ask You, “Come, Lord Jesus!” (Revelation 22:20b).

I love You. Thank You. Amen.
