sheltered

 Saturday, March 2, 2024 (5:58 a.m.)

Holy God,

Thank You.

(6:15 a.m.)

Yes Lord. Thank You for shelter. From the storms.

(6:34 a.m.)

Thank You for the privilege of sitting with You. Safely. Indoors. Considering and pondering so much.

Blessed, Holy, Loving Father God, thank You for the times we are able to sit. Waiting. Wondering. Trusting. Believing. Knowing that You are God (Psalm 46:10). And that You are good. Great. Glorious. Gracious (Psalm 145:5-8).

I didn’t expect to keep coming back to Psalm 46. A song had started to form. With only the words ♪… wave after wave…♪ to go on ♪You Make Me Brave♪ sang out.

♪As Your love, in wave after wave Crashes over me, crashes over me For You are for us You are not against us Champion of Heaven You made a way for all to enter in… You make me brave You make me brave You call me out beyond the shore into the waves You make me brave You make me brave No fear can hinder now the promises You made♪

(7:22 a.m.)

Father, thank You for the great love You have for us. Providing for our every need. Your Word is here to comfort and guide us. Continue Your work in teaching us to trust and follow You.

You are “our refuge and strength, a very present help in times of great trouble” (Psalm 46:1). Our mighty fortress. Refuge. Protection. Helper. Strong place. Shelter. Hope. Always ready to help us.

Thank You God. Use us as You know is best. Pointing to You as our Shelter when troubles seem near. Knowing, trusting, believing that You are nearer and always ready to help.

Thank You. Praise You. Amen.
