able to help

Monday, December 12, 2022 (5:10 a.m.)

Blessed Father,

Thank You. I want to know more. I want to listen better. You are able to help

(6:23 a.m.)

In so many ways You are able to help. Thank You Lord. There are so many things I don’t understand. And every time I turn and look to You, I feel settled. Safe. Content.

Thank You Dearest God. Thank You that You are all the things You claim You are. The Alpha and the Omega. The First and the Last. The Beginning and the End (Revelation 22:13). Our very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

The more I read Lord, the more questions I have. I realize the things I don’t know or understand are far greater than those that I do. Thank You that You are able to help me in this as well.

Yesterday, it was the scratching of the surface of Isaiah 11:1. “Out of the stump of David’s family (the stump of the line of Jesse) will grow a shoot - yes, a new Branch bearing fruit from the old root.”

The following verses tell of Your Spirit resting on Him. Bringing “justice to the blood stained earth (11:1-5)” Illustrated Bible Handbook. Theses are Truths I can’t even begin to understand. Or explain.

Yet here I am. Remembering being a child. Standing firm and tall on the stump of a cut tree. We get to do this! Filled will the hope. The peace. The joy that only You are able to help us experience.

Father, thank You! Use us this day. In our travels. With our plans. Line us up to glorify and enjoy You. Standing firm on the Truth that comes from trusting “A new little tree will grow from its [a tree that has been cut down] stump. From its roots a Branch will grow and produce fruit” (New International Reader’s Version).

I want to be part of that fruit Blessed God! Only You, Your Son and Your Holy Spirit are able to help make that happen. I trust, need and want You in this process. Do all You must to Your good and glorious end.

I love You. Thank You. Praise You. Amen.
