"weather"

 Sunday, February 4, 2024 (5:54 a.m.)

Blessed God,

We are preparing for “weather.” An atmospheric river. Storm watch. Expected downpours.

Thank You Lord that You are in control of it all. Thank You that we get to come before You with our every single concern.

Searching “weather and God” I am reminded [and greatly comforted] that we get to seek and find shelter in You. Thank You, thank You Dear Lord.

Going out to more fully enJOY the colorful sunbreak taking place, I was aware of the sounds I was hearing. As well as the sights before me.

(7:23 a.m.)

The beauty You provide us is unparalleled. Thank You for the opportunity to take it all in.

(7:47 a.m.)

Not only am I smiling, now I’m singing as well. Practically laughing out loud. ♪Holy Spirit, You are welcome here Come flood this place and fill the atmosphere♪ Preferable with Your presence, Lord!

Reading about sunbreaks, I am reminded of my first introduction to the phrase. By a treasured friend from the Pacific Northwest, where the term originated.

“A sun break piercing clouds normally produces a visible shaft of light reflected by atmospheric dust and/or moisture, called a sunbeam… Artists such as cartoonists and filmmakers often use sunbreak to show protection of relief being brought upon by God or a receding storm. ”

Thank You Lord that we get to find You when we seek You (Jeremiah 29:13). You provide us peace when we pray to You (Isaiah 26:3, John 14:27, Philippians 4:6-7). And promises of Your presence (Isaiah 43:2, Matthew 8:24-27).

Because of Your unfailing love (Job 37:13) we can rest assured that You are indeed in charge of it all. Your wisdom and understanding are so much greater than ours (Isaiah 55:8-13).

Father, thank You! Use us during this stormy time. Exactly as You know is best. We love, need, trust and want You Lord. Thank You. Praise You. Amen.
