Holy God,
Thank You for the blessings. Your Word. Time together with loved ones. Sleep. Rain. Love. And more of Your Word.
Yes, Lord. Please teach me more of all Your Word has to say about love. And life. And living as You’d have us.
(7 9:23 a.m. CT)
I’m still a little unsure of the time zone differences. I laugh every time I catch myself. Thank You for love and laughter Lord.
Reading in Your Word, I am reminded of Your great love for us. David was well aware of Your provisions and prayed to You often. Here in 1 Chronicles 29 I am again comforted by His words.
“Blessed are You, O LORD, the God of Israel, our Father, forever and ever. Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is Yours. Yours is the Kingdom, O LORD, and You are exalted as head above all” (vs. 10b-11).
I love sitting with You Lord. Reflecting. Appreciating. Imagining. Truly enJOYing a freshly brewed cup of coffee. Taking in sights. Sounds. Scents. Thank You Father.
(10:24 a.m. CT)
Lord, I want very much to continue practicing gratitude. Being thankful for every single blessing You provide us.
John 4:24
Romans 5:1-5
Colossians 3:13
Reading in an unfamiliar to me Bible, I continue in this current spirit of gratefulness. Wanting to learn and know more about the True power of Your Word. Your Living Water as experienced through Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
Teach me Father. I want very much to: ‘dress in the wardrobe You picked out for me: compassion, kindness, humility, quiet strength, discipline. Be even-tempered, content with second place, quick to forgive an offense. Forgive as quickly and completely as the Master has forgiven me. And regardless of what else I put on, to wear love. It’s my basic, all-purpose garment. Never be without it’ (Colossians 3:12b-14 The Message).
Yes Father. Keep teaching me so I will put Your good practices as the foundation of each of my days. I love, need, trust and want You Dear Lord. Use me exactly as You know is best. Thank You. Praise You. Amen.
