"Thank You Father" ~ 9/22/25

Fargo, ND

Thank You Father. I’m starting with that. And deciding to postpone exploring until later the ♪Honey Don’t♪ that keeps coming up.

Lord God, thank You for the love you have for each and every single one of Your children. None more special than another. All precious in Your sight.

(11:03 a.m. CT)

I’m saying it again, Lord. “Thank You Father.”

Yes! Thank You, thank You Father.

It’s the first day of fall. The beginning of another brand new season. And I woke up wondering why I was singing ♪Honey Don’t♪

Thank You that looking into the song’s origin didn’t make things any clearer to me. Instead I came away with the various “don’t”s I remembered from Your Word.

“Don’t worry about anything…” (Philippians 4:6).

Oh! Just look at all the “don’t”s in The Message’s version of Ephesians 4:30. “Don’t grieve God. Don’t break His heart. His Holy Spirit, moving and breathing in you, is the most intimate part of your life, making You fit for Himself. Don’t take such a gift for granted.”

Yes! That Lord. I want to live each moment not taking for granted Your gift of salvation from sin. Teach me to be a much better learner and doer in accordance to Your great will for my life.

I love, need, trust and want You Lord. Use me exactly as You alone know is best. Do all You must in keeping me away from the “don’t”s You have set for me.

♪Well how come you say you will when you won’t?

Say you do, baby, when you don’t?

Let me know, honey, how you feel

Tell the truth now, is love real?

But uh-huh, well, honey don’t♪

I want to glorify and enjoy You Lord. Being true to You and Your commands that I will genuinely listen and know You to be “the one and only LORD.” And that I would love You, others and myself with all my heart, soul, mind and strength (Mark 12:29-31).

Thank You Father. Praise You. Amen.
