many blessings

 Wednesday, February 12, 2025 (2:16 a.m.)

Blessed God,

It’s a big day for our family. A Jr. High School band is performing at a big named amusement park. Rain is expected. I’m asking (Matthew 7:7a) for Your will. Your way.

I have two songs bouncing into each other so far this morning. ♪This Is the Day♪ and ♪Don’t Stop Praying♪ Use them both as You know is best Dear Lord.

You provided many blessings yesterday. People. Places. And things. Thank You Father. I’d like to be aware of them again today please. Perhaps after a little more sleep?

(4:44 a.m.)

While more sleep didn’t happen, thoughts and memories of past blessings did. Thank You God. You are so good in all You do for, with, by, through and in us. Growing us. Changing us.

Thank You for teaching me the importance of filtering my hopes through You. Your Word of Truth and promises. Your Son and Holy Spirit.

Romans 15:13

Psalm 146:5

I want to learn to live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness and devotion to God, looking forward to that wonderful day when the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be revealed (Titus 2:12b-13).

Reading about filtering hope through you I find, “Faith believes. Hope waits patiently. It is not a wish. It’s a filter based on eternal truths. Allowing us to see doubts and fears and focus on God's Truth. Hope is the antidote of fear and doubt.”

When I think of the blessings You continue providing the hope we have in You is one of the biggest. Use me Dear Lord. Exactly as You know is best. I love, need, trust and want You.

♪See the line where the sky meets the sea? It calls me And no one knows How Far It Goes If the wind in my sail on the sea stays behind me One day I’ll know how far I’ll go♪

I recognize the budding hope I experience by singing these words. It’s contrary to the fear that has kept me frozen in the past. I ask You (Matthew 7:7a) Dear Father to use it to embolden and empower me for whatever joyful challenges You have in store for me today.

This IS, after all, the day You have made! (Psalm 118:24a) I want very much to “rejoice and be glad in it” (v. 24b).
