LOVEuary

 February 1, 2025 (5:17 a.m.)

Good morning. Good brand new month. Borrowing a phrase from the Hallmark channel, Happy LOVEuary!

Yes. I have smiles. On my face. In my heart, soul and mind. Each of them representing the peace I experience when I “don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything.” Telling You what I need and thanking You for all You have done (Philippians 4:6-7).

I realize I can never thank You enough for all You’ve done. The list is endless. I can, however, continue thanking You as incidents arise. Yes. Thank You!

(5:47 a.m.)

Smiles continue. Along with a song.

You’ll Be In My Heart♪ sings comforting words to me. Empowering and enabling me to imagine my life protected in, with, by, through and for You. Thank You for the love You provide us.

Having Your Word to stand on and trust in allows us the freedom to believe You. To truly take You at Your Word!

Proverbs 4 offers “A Father’s Wise Advice” Thank You for being our Father. Watching and waiting for us. Much like the prodigal’s dad did (Luke 15:11-32).

Thank You that You are the perfect Father! All wise. All knowing. Perfect in Your love for each and every single one of Your children.

“My child, pay attention to what I say. Listen carefully to my words. Don’t lose sight of them. Let them penetrate deep into your heart, for they bring life to those who find them and healing to their whole body” (Proverbs 4:20-22).

Thank You for keeping such tender watch over us.

“Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life. Avoid all perverse talk; stay away from corrupt speech. Look straight ahead, and fix your eyes on what lies before you” (vs. 23-25).

Yes Lord. Teach me to follow You!

“Mark out a straight path for your feet; stay on the safe path. Don’t get sidetracked; keep your feet from following evil” (26-27).

As I continue sitting with You and Your Word, I turn to chapter 3. Trusting in the LORD Yes! Trusting in You!

Verses 21-26. “My child, don’t lose sight of common sense and discernment. Hang on to them, for they will refresh your soul. They are like jewels on a necklace. They keep you safe on your way, and your feet will not stumble. You can go to bed without fear; you will lie down and sleep soundly. You need not be afraid of sudden disaster or the destruction that comes upon the wicked, for the LORD is your security. He will keep your foot from being caught in a trap.”

Father, I want to learn to love as You would have me love. You. Neighbors. Self. With all heart, soul, mind and strength (Mark 12:30-31).

Patiently. Kindly. Not jealously. Nor boastfully, proudly or rudely. Not demanding my own way. Not irritably. Keeping no record of wrongs. Rejoicing when truth wins out, not about injustices. Never giving up. Never losing faith. Always being hopeful. Enduring through every circumstance (1 Corinthians 13:4-7).

Loving Your way is a mighty tall order. Thank You that You are an even bigger God!

Do all You must Dear Lord. I love, need, trust and want You. Thank You that I am in Your heart as You are in mine. Use me. Praise You. Amen.
