blessed, refreshed and smiling

 Saturday, February 15, 2025 (7:44 a.m.)

Thank You Blessed God,

I woke up from a second sleep feeling refreshed. Yes. Blessed. Refreshed. And smiling. Now THAT’s the way to start the day! Eager. Excited. Agog. Thank You Father.

♪Strip It Down♪ seems SUCH an odd song for me to consider singing to my God and Father. Yet it just keeps coming back. No matter how hard I try ignoring or replacing it. I’m taking the phrase ♪back to You and me like it used to be♪ as my verse of importance.

You and me is a very good place to start!

Acts 3:19 speaks of repentance, turning to You [♪back to You and me like it used to be♪] and being refreshed. While Psalm 32:1 tells “How blessed are those whose offense is forgiven, those whose sin is covered!”

Thank You that as I read of being blessed and refreshed again I feel myself smiling. Thank You for the ways You work in our hearts. Our souls. Our minds and our strength. You are so very good.

The Message for this Psalm clearly states “Count yourself lucky [I choose the word blessed!], how happy you must be [I am! Thank You very much!] you get a fresh start, your slate’s wiped clean.”

Father, there is a LOT of wiping clean that needs to take place around here. Quite a bit of business has not been being taken care of recently.

Having woken with such a sense of refreshment, I’m asking (Matthew7:7) that I would use my newfound energies wisely and well. Not going overboard. Nor insufficiently.

Mm, quite like Your grace being sufficient for me. And Your power being made strong in my weakness! (2 Corinthians 12:9)
