alliterations

 Thursday, February 20, 2025 (5:37 a.m.)

Glorious God and Faithful Father,

Thank You for the alliterations we’ve been sharing already this morning. Begun while I was still sleeping. “Rough and ready” led the charge. Followed rather quickly by “tried and true”.

Each coupling of words beginning with the same letter sound led me to the next. “Strong and steady” also came to mind.

Putzing aimlessly around the internet has me smiling. Reading one thing and then another about You. Your Word. Your worship. Your worth-ship!

Yes! Indeed. All the things You provide us that deserve our devotion.

Let’s take yesterday for example. Safe travels to help out in a sixth grade classroom. Snacks generously offered and joyfully accepted. Hugs from teachers, students and staff. And the PERFCT plan for the drive home.

Father, YOU placed the peace in my heart. Allowing me to retrace steps [driving routes actually] from 51 years ago. Anticipating a two hour drive, what delight I experienced while meanderingly exploring long forgotten traveled roads.

Lord God, my heart is still full with the tearless memories I relived! “FULLJOY, Man!” Full, FULL joy!

Thank You for the willingness to unquestionably follow my gut’s guiding. Yes! I trusted my instinct. Went with the direction my heart was leading. And I was blessed. Incredibly blessed at every turn. Smiles, joy and laughter abounded with each remembered landmark. Blocked roadway. And seemingly wrong path.

Father, thank You for Your goodness. Your grace. Your glorious greatness (Psalm 145:5-8). All I did was show up. Willing to “follow my Leader.” You!

(8:22 a.m.)

Lord, there is a lightness to my soul that I have not felt in months. Thank You for Your presence in my life. Thank You that I get to choose to ‘remain in You and You will remain in me’ (John 15:4a).

“For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in Me. Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing” (v 4b-5).

♪… Lord of lords and King of kings… I’m taking back what the enemy stole♪

I want to produce much fruit Lord!

♪I’m calling the angels down I’m storming the gates of hell Tell the devil he don’t own my soul I’m taking back what the enemy stole I’m raising the battle cry I’m holding the banner high With the power of the Holy Ghost I’m taking back what the enemy stole…

Take It all Back… Taking my peace back Taking my joy back… I’m taking back what the enemy stole♪

YES! Thank You for Your part in all of this. Use me as You alone know is best. I love, need, trust and want You. Thank You. Praise You. Amen.
