all for the asking

Monday, June 18, 2018 (6:47 a.m.)
Blessed Holy God,

Thank You. We had time with family and friends this weekend. It was all so enjoyable. Still talked about.

A fear at bedtime was expelled with talk of You and study of Your Word. Thank You Father. Thank You for Your presence. Thank You for Your calming nature.

What a blessing to have a fearful six year ask if I had brought my Bible with me and then spring out of bed seeking his own. Thank You for the conversation that ensued. And the eagerness shared by each of us.

Thank You Father. Yes. Thank You.

You watch over us. You provide for us. You are right here with us. All for the asking. Yes Blessed God. We long to love as You would have us love.

You gave us examples all weekend long of people coming together for the good of others. Preschool teachers who have shown yearlong loving support and encouragement to the little ones in their care. Medical personnel working for the best for their patients.

Friends celebrating the birth and achievements of one another. Loved ones working and praying together the best for each other. Families celebrating dads. All under the umbrella of Your love.

You are teaching us to communicate. Forgive. Love. Respect. And we are grateful. Use us this day exactly as You know is best. In Your loving image.

We love You. We long to represent You well. Thank You Father. Use us. We love You. Amen.
