Lord God, You’ve given us a good run. A REALLY good run. He’s tired. Is his room ready (John 14:2)? Can he have what we consider to be his early check-in?

We have tears Lord. So many waiting to be shed.

Lord, I believe You know what You are doing. I trust You. And I keep wondering how much longer this is going to take.

Oh but we do Lord. We want to let him go “rest in peace” with You. We’re good here. We want all You know is best for each of us.

Keep holding us Dear Lord. Reminding us that ‘Your grace is sufficient for us, for Your power is made perfect in weakness’ (2 Corinthians 12:9a).

Most Dear and Blessed Holy God,

Thank You! You provide for us SO perfectly.

We get to trust You. What an honor and a privilege.

Not knowing what we’re doing. Learning new things. Practicing HARD things. Like accepting what we believe to be a premature death.

Thank You Father that You’ve got us. Every single aspect of all our circumstances. Wondering how I will refer to our impending loss, YOU provided the PERFECT Truth!

John 14:2-3. The Message. “There is plenty of room for you in my Father’s home. If this weren’t so, would I have told you that I’m on my way to get a room ready for you? And if I’m on my way to get your room ready, I’ll come back and get you so you can live where I live. And you already know the road I’m taking.”

Father, this is a man who LOVED to travel! Take him safely from us into Your very presence. We love, need, trust and want You Lord. Do all You know is best. Provide for him the most glorious “early check-in” he’s ever experienced. Thank You. Praise You. Amen.

Faithful and Just Father God,

Thank You for waking me with thoughts of You. Your Truth. Your will. Your way.

Thank You that You ARE “faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9).

Thank You that You are good. Great. Glorious. Gracious (Psalm 145:5-8). And we are Yours!

Live in and with, by, through and for us this day. The one You have made. That we will truly rejoice and be glad in it (Psalm 118:24).

We love You Father. We need, trust and want You. Do all You must in using us as You know is best. Thank You. Praise You. Amen.

Thank You Father.

Waking up with music in my mind is so much better than “No.” ♪Worthy is Your name, Jesus You deserve the praise Worthy is Your name♪ Yes! Worthy is Your name. You DO deserve the praise. Thank you for Who and all You are.

And then came this perfectly timed ode to my very dear husband. ♪I’ve Been Loving You Too Long (To Stop Now)♪ Interesting how I’ve never paid much attention to these lyrics before.

♪You were tired and you want to be free My love is growing stronger, as you become a habit to me Ooh, I’ve been loving you too long I don’t want to stop now♪ Father thank Yo for the opportunities You have provided us to share our hearts with one another.

Thank You Father that Jesus came to conquer death. Because of His willingness to live a sinless life, His triumph over death provides us eternal life with You. Yes. Life everlasting.

Yes, please.

It’s a far cry from my “No thank You” of yesterday.

Thank You God. Thank You for whatever song is singing within that is reminding me that ♪FOREVER God is faithful Forever God is strong Forever God is with us Forever♪

That one just started. What about the one from earlier.♪…Jesus Christ the Son♪

BINGO! Very first find.

Thank You Father. Keep me strong in Your mighty power (Ephesians 6:10) today Dear Lord. “Pray[ing] at all times and on every occasion in the power of the Holy Spirit” (v. 18). Keep me alert to Your presence. Ever aware of the attacks from the devil (1 Peter 5:8).

Yes, please! I want to take “a firm stand against him, and be strong in my faith” (v. 9). “In His kindness God called us to His eternal glory by means of Jesus Christ. After we have suffered a little while, He will restore, support, and strengthen us, and place us on a firm foundation. All power is His forever and ever. Amen” (10-11).

The Life Recovery Bible comment tells us, “5:10-11 God’s promise to us when we fall down or are suffering is that He will restore us, set us in a good and secure place, and use the difficulties we have been through to make us stronger than ever! It is this hope that gives us the courage to persevere in our journey of recovery.” To which I say, Yes, please!

Yes please Lord. ♪To Your will and to Your way I’ll say, “Yes, Lord, yes” I will trust You and obey When Your Spirit speaks to me With my whole heart I’ll agree And my answer will be, Yes, Lord, yes”♪

Do all You must to make this so Dearest God. I love, need, trust and want You. Use me. Thank You. Praise You. Amen.

So far Lord, my attitude has been, “No.”

Sometimes “No thank You.” Even with somewhat of  a smile. Generally thinking, just plain. “No.”

I’m looking to You to change that in me. I prefer “Yes.”

Thank You! Sleep finally came. And in the midst, reminders of Your holy worthiness. The same phrases of the same two songs continue singing to me. Thank You Lord.
