Holy, Holy God,

Thank You! I’m not yet sure for what.

It really is the simplest of things. Sleep. Rest. Comfort. Joy. Mm, yes. I truly find joy in the simplest of things. And it’s all because of You.

Always all because of You.

Father, You provide so much opportunity for us to practice appreciation. I notice it most when I’m outside. Taking in the mysteries of what You have created.

I confess to knowing and understanding far less of all we experience than that of which I do. Thank You that it’s not up to me to know and understand. I am to acknowledge You in all my ways. And You will direct my path (Proverbs 3:5-6).

The Message tells us to trust You from the bottom of our hearts. To not try to figure out everything on our own. To listen for Your voice in everything we do, everywhere we go. You’re the One who will keep us on track.

It goes on. “Don’t assume that you know it all. Run to GOD! Run from evil! Your body will glow with health, your very bones will vibrate with life! Honor GOD with everything you own; give Him the first and the best. Your barns will burst, your wine vats will brim over. But don’t, dear friend, resent GOD’s discipline; don’t sulk under His loving correction. It’s the child He loves that GOD corrects; a father’s delight is behind all this” (vs. 7-12).

Again I confess to being such a slow learner. You provide the greatest blessings in the simplest of things. And many times I miss them.

Thank You for the occasions I am aware. Thank You for the smiles that remind me that something good is taking place. Use me Lord. In sharing the joy that comes from knowing and trusting You.

Blessed, Holy God,

Thank You that

In the name of Jesus

There is power

Power in His name♪

Yes! Father, thank You for that power.

♪… For all who come 

Who run to Him in faith

He is there

… No fear, no lie

Can stand against us now

He is here♪

Oh look! I just smiled my first smile of the day. Of the new month, actually. How cool is that?! Thank You God.

The very idea of Jesus being here provides me with comfort I can’t begin to explain.

♪The Word has come

To silence every doubt

He is here♪

Thank You Father for the power that comes from this name. This one name that saves. Breaks every chain. Always is. And will remain. Jesus. The one name we proclaim. Always.

All this time spent. Reading Your Word. Singing internally. Jumping up to take care of various chores. And coming back to read more about the power of Jesus’ name.

Father, how I thank and praise You for the ways You change the direction my mind tends to go. Fearful, negative thinking takes a backseat when I remember to sing Your praise instead.

Thank You for reminding me of all You are

and that

♪The Name of Jesus is higher than all names♪

I ask (Matthew 7:7) You to keep working in, with, by, through and for me so I will readily come to utilize the power You provide. Do all You must that I will represent You well.
