Holy God,
Thank You. Sleep happened.
(6:17 a.m.)
And so are memories. Smiles. Contentment. Peace. Joy. Hope. And love. So much love.
Thank You for surrounding and imbuing us with Your love.
(6:48 a.m.)
Thank You for the thought of being wrapped in Your love. Mm, yes! Bible verses tell us to be clothed “with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience… love which binds us together in perfect harmony” (Colossians 3:12, 14).
Father, thank You that You continue reminding us of what it means to be “clothed with strength and dignity” (Proverbs 31:25a). The Passion Translation says, “bold power and glorious majesty.”
I want to live as though I believe this completely. That I will truly “laugh without fear of the future” (v. 25b).
Paul’s Prayer for Spiritual Growth (Ephesians 3:16-17) is “that from His [Your] glorious, unlimited resources He [You] will empower the believers in Ephesus with inner strength through His Spirit. Then Christ will make His home in their hearts as they trust in Him. Their roots will grow down into God’s love and keep them strong.”
I confess to putting myself into the power of these words. Believing that I am fully wrapped in Your love. And that You will continue growing me exactly as You know is best.
Thank You for Your love. Do all You must in using me as You have planned (Jeremiah 29:11). Thank You. Praise You. Amen.
