praiseworthy

♪…He is the Lion of Judah…

He is the Ancient of Days…

…The only One who is worthy, worthy

Worthy of all of our praise His names

That’s Who I Praise

I’m So Blessed, I’m so blessed

Got this heartbeat in my chest

No, it doesn’t matter about the rest

If I got You, Lord, I’m so blessed♪

Father God,

Thank You that I want to sing Your Truth.

(5:34 a.m.)

I confess the ease with which I grump and grouse. Effortlessly drawn to that which is most negative. Thank You that Your Word teaches us to think differently than what comes naturally.

Concluding his letter to the congregation at Philippi, the apostle Paul encouraged, “my friends, fill your minds with those things that are good and that deserve praise: things that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely and honorable” (Philippians 4:8 Good News Translation).

The Passion Translation’s rendering reads, “Keep your thoughts continually fixed on all that is authentic and real, honorable and admirable, beautiful and respectful, pure and holy, merciful and kind. And fasten your thoughts on every glorious work of God, praising Him always.”

Yes please!

Ben Campbell Johnson, in The Heart of Paul, lists Paul’s guidelines for their [our] thought life as that which is: real, worthwhile, honest, clear, loving, praiseworthy, integral and admirable.

Father, You have so much more work to do in, with, by, through and for me.

Have Thine Own Way Lord

Have Thine own way

Thou art the Potter I am the clay

Mold me and make me after Thy will

While I am waiting yielded and still♪

Do all You must in using me exactly as You know is best. I love, need, trust and want You Lord. Thank You. Praise You. Amen.
