no other God

 Tuesday, July 15, 2025 (4:07 a.m.)

Holy God,

Thank You! I love You. I need You. I trust and want You as absolute Lord of my life.

(4:23 a.m.)

Thank You for time and resources to sit. Read. Ponder Your Word.

Romans 12:2

1 Timothy 6:15-16

Isaiah 44:6. “This is what the LORD says - Israel’s King and Redeemer, the LORD

of Heaven’s Armies: ‘I am the First and the Last; there is no other God…”

And sing. Yes. Enter Barry White. 1974. Rhythm and Blues.

♪My first, my last, my everything

And the answer to all my dreams

You’re my sun, my moon, my guiding star

My kind of wonderful, that’s what You are

I know there’s only, only One like You

There’s no way they could have made two

You’re all I’m living for, Your love I’ll keep forevermore

You’re The First, The Last, My Everything

Father, thank You that You are the only God there is.

Daniel 2:20-21

Romans 14:11

And here again the music shifts.

♪I wanna dance like David

I wanna faith like Paul

I wanna sing like Silas tearing down the prison walls

I wanna face that fire

It won’t burn me though

God’s got my back Shadrach, Meschach, Abednego

… I’m gonna praise

I praise the heaven seated undefeated highest of names

That’s Who I Praise

(5:02 a.m.)

Thank You Lord that we don’t have to try to make sense of all the things over which we have no control. Thank You that in the midst of all the turmoil and things that we can point to and declare as unfair or unjust, You are still good (Psalm 145:7).

And as I go on searching for more reasons to keep my hope and faith firmly rooted in Your goodness, I’m directed to Romans 15:4. “For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.”

Yes! Endurance and encouragement. Continue Your work in me Blessed God. That I will stay Your course. Trusting and believing that all You say is true.

Isaiah 41:10

1 Peter 5:10

“The LORD is good, a strong refuge when trouble comes. He is close to those who trust in Him” (Nahum 1:7).

You are where I want to place my hope. In Your Truth and promises. When all around us looks dark and scary, You are still good. You are always God. Thank You that You are.

Use me today Lord. Exactly as You alone know is best. Thank You. Praise You. Amen.
