spontaneous love

 …perfectly loved…

Monday, July 14, 2025 (5:01 a.m.)

Father God,

I confess to singing without believing nor feeling it. Yep. There it is. I’m not feeling’ it.

2 Corinthians 3:17

Psalm 119

(5:23 a.m.)

Thank You that I am able to confess all to You. And be comforted. By Your Word. And other believers. Further along in their walk with You. With words of hope. Direction. Truth.

“Disciplined memorization, daily meditations, planned prayer and praise - under God, such routines carve riverbeds in the soul where the streams of spontaneous love run deep” (desiringgod.org).

♪…even when you were running

Even when you were hiding

Never been a moment that you were not perfectly loved

When you barely believe it

When your eyes couldn’t see it

Every single moment, you’ve always been perfectly loved♪

Father, I want desperately to believe what I read and sing of and to You. I want to experience the firm foundation of Your spontaneous love running deeply within me.

I confess to dreading, not delighting in, the thought of the next several hours. Another funeral. The youngest, seemingly most unfair of them all. I know and believe You to be good (Psalm 145:7). Faithful. Loving. Kind.

♪I know You’re good

But this don’t feel good right now…

It’s hard to count it all joy

Distracted by the noise

Just trying to make sense of all Your promises

Sometimes I gotta stop

Remember that You’re God

And I am not

So

Thy Will be done♪

Yes Lord. THY will be done! Bless and keep these grieving loved ones.

“We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because He has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with His love” (Romans 5:3-5).

Use Your love in, with, by, through and for me Dear Father that I would truly love as You would have me love. Spontaneously. Freely. Abundantly. Without end.

We love, need, trust and want You Blessed God and Father. Do all You must in bringing glory and honor to Your most Holy name. Thank You. Praise You. Amen.
