the Word

♪...I Trust in God, my Savior…

…He will never fai-ai-ail♪

Thursday, July 31, 2025 (3:39 a.m.)

Thank You that You ARE God, my Savior. And You WILL never fail! Thank You that You know the plans You have for us. Plans for good and not for evil. Plans to give us a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).

Thank You that we have Your Word. Your Word that is filled with Your Truth and promises. Thank You that “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God” (John 1:1; see also Colossians 1:15-17).

Father, thank You for living and working in, with, by, through and for me. I became frustrated with circumstances yesterday and I initially cursed them. Thank You for reminding me to give thanks and be happy instead.

Thank You for the opportunity of coming before You quite early this morning. Smiling. Excited. Eager to learn.

(4:36 a.m.)

Reading in The Passion Translation, I see “the Word” transcribed as “the Living Expression.” Taken from the Greek word logos. Much is written here. “Jesus Christ is the eternal Message, the creative Word, …the divine self-expression of all that God is…”

(5:03 a.m.)

Father, here again I confess to feeling inadequate. Out of my depth. In over my head.

Just this one simple verse I’ve glossed over most of these years has a depth I can’t even begin to fathom. I don’t know what it is. Yet I believe it to be of great importance.

Thank You for speaking to me loudly through Your Word!

Good News Bible = “source of life”

(6:09 a.m.)

I continue reading [The Voice explanation of the Word] and find even more written about the Greek word logos. “This Gospel [John]… takes us back before time began to the moment when God interrupts the silence and speaks the cosmos into existence. Only John’s Gospel names Jesus as the Logos and declares that He existed long before time was measured. This Greek word carries a variety of meanings, all relating to the act of speaking…”

The description put forth here only begins to scratch the surface of all I do not know. Or understand. Thank You that we have You as our Voice. The One, True Word.

Empower and enable me in using words wisely and well. I love You. I need, trust and want to represent You appropriately. Do all You must. Thank You. Praise You. Amen.

Holy, Holy God,

Thank You!

There was good sleep. Followed by VERY good finds!

Recalling the decision to set us up together at an east facing window I did all that was necessary. Move this here. Put that there.

Remembering the “be happy now” charge from two evenings ago, I started singing a Scripture Memory Song from over thirty years back.

Not readily nor easily finding it, I continued the search. Many e-pages into the hunt, there it was! “God’s Grace - ‘Now is the Day of Salvation’”

Thank You God.

There is so much depth here.

2nd Corinthians 6:2 references Isaiah 49:8. I read to the end of the chapter. As well as The Life Recovery Bible’s comments for verses 1-7, 8-12, and 13-26. Each offering its own bit of hope. Freedom. Guidance. Care. Fulfillment. Comfort. Liberation.

“…In spite of present appearances, God is working out His plan for us…”

I trust Your Truth Dearest Lord. I want very much to “be happy NOW!”

Thank You for Your love. Empower and enable me in sharing it wholeheartedly. Freely. Without reservation.

Awesome, Loving, Wonderful Father God,

Searching to know more about You as our loving Father, I come to Isaiah 64:8. Here I read. And hope. “We are the clay, and You are the Potter. We are formed by Your hand.” I depend on this Dear Lord.

I woke this morning with the hope of healing. From a mistake I made almost a week ago.  Spontaneously reaching for an item, something pulled in my side. Unplanned. Automatic. And here I am in considerably more, not less, pain than I was initially.

Father, I look to You for that hope of healing. Having thought the injury would resolve itself on it’s own, I bring it to You now. Wondering if there is something You have to teach me through the pain.

I love, need, trust and want You Lord. I want to live as You would have me live. Lovingly. Joyfully. Glorifying and enjoying You. Do all You must to this end.
