What I thought was going to be the easiest find ever, wasn’t. Thank You Father. Thank You that You show me Your way when I least expect it.
Let’s take yesterday for example. CHAOS! CRISIS! CONFUSION to the max! What I believed to be a simple statement of feelings turned into a completely out of control scene of angst, anxiety and tremendous fear.
Underneath the exploding emotions Your Word held me in check. I chose not to answer like for like. “Be angry, but do not sin in Your anger” (Ephesians 4:6a, Psalm 4:4a). Thank You Father.
♪I’ll Take You At Your Word

I’ve seen how good it works

… You spoke, and the chaos fell in line
Oh, I know ‘cause I’ve seen it in my life
It’s a narrow road that leads to life

Your Truth defused and de-escalated the absolute worse case of hiccups the grandsons and I have experienced to date. Father God, how I ask (Matthew 7:7a) that You would truly bless and keep us (Numbers 6:24) safe from satan’s roar (1 Peter 5:8). We could so easily have been completely devoured in those brief moments Lord.

Turning in Your Word I find Truth after living Truth. Father how I ask again that You teach me to apply it so others will be attracted to embracing it.
The near fourteen year old used great restraint in speaking his own truth to me yesterday. After the dust was settling, he began by simply saying, “With all due respect…”
Father, let me live Your example rather than trying to teach it at every given turn as was pointed out to me after the fact. Here I am. All these years of practicing my walk with You. Still stumbling. Catching myself. Falling flat on my face. And asking (Matthew 7:7a). Always asking You for help!
♪You said Your love would never give up
You said Your grace is always enough
You said Your heart would never forget♪
Blessed, Holy, Loving Father God, continue Your perfect work in teaching Your imperfect daughter to think and say and do and be better. I desperately love, need, trust and want You.
