“Beautiful!” That was the first word out of my mouth this morning. The sky, Lord, was absolutely beautiful.
(6:34 a.m.)
Father, thank You that there are so many things to consider. Think about. Contemplate.
Your goodness. Your grace. Your greatness. Your gloriousness (Psalm 145:5-8). I saw it represented in the sky just earlier.
Thank You for the opportunity to read this passage in so many different versions. The Voice being my translation of choice for the moment.
“Your majesty and glorious splendor have captivated me; I will meditate on Your wonders, sing songs of Your worth.
“We confess - there is nothing greater than You, God, nothing mightier than Your awesome works. I will tell of Your greatness as long as I have breath.
“The news of Your rich goodness is no secret- Your people love to recall it and sing songs of joy to celebrate Your righteousness.
“The Eternal is gracious. He shows mercy to His people. For Him anger does not come easily, but faithful love does - and it is rich and abundant.”
Talk about unpacking nuggets of Truth!
Your majesty and glorious splendor. Nothing greater than You. Your rich goodness. The Eternal. Gracious. Mercy. Rich and abundant, faithful, easy love.
These Truths about You are where I want to put my focus today. Your glorious, great, good grace. You ARE glorious. Great. Good. Gracious.
I want to represent You well. Do all You must in growing me into the woman You would have me be. One who “is clothed with strength and dignity, and laughs without fear of the future” (Proverbs 31:25). Whose words are wise and instructions given with kindness (26). Whose “children stand and bless her” (27a).
Tall orders! Use me as You know is best. Thanking and praising. Rejoicing and being glad. Loving in Your Truth and kindness. Thank You. Praise You. Amen.
