corralled thoughts

 ♪Your goodness is running after

It’s running after me♪

Friday, June 6, 2025 (4:59 a.m.)

Blessed Lord God,

Thank You for songs that sing Your Truth. Thank You that as much as my mind begins to wander down paths of worry or regret another song breaks in to sing of Your teachings. Complete with tears streaming down my heart and cheeks.

Hello, My Name Is

Regret…

Defeat…

Child of the one true King♪

Thank You that with all the mistakes I continue to make You, Your Truth and promises are ever present to right my thinking. Yes Father. I ask (Matthew 7:7a) You to corral my thoughts to the confines of Your glorious goodness and grace (Psalm 145:5-8).

♪You are for me

Not against me

I am Who You Say I Am

Who the Son sets free

Oh, is free indeed

I’m a child of God

Yes I am

In my Father’s house

There’s a place for me♪

The tears just aren’t stopping Lord. I truly don’t know what You would have me do with them all.

Thinking I was going first to Philippians 4:8, here I am instead at Colossians 3:12-17. Again I am asking (Matthew 7:7a) You to do all You must in, with, by, through and for me that will enable and empower me in obeying Your Word.

Ohh look. The tears have stopped. There’s even a smile. And a brief chuckle. Thank You Father. Bless You. Keep You. Praise You.

“Since God chose you to be the holy people He loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful. Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom He gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts. And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.”

Thank You Jesus! You took my hurts and doubts and fears and corralled them all with the Truth of Your perfect Word. Thank You.

Again I ask (Matthew 7:7a) You to continue working that I will come to love, obey and represent You well. Singing. Smiling. Standing firmly in and staying my mind on the power of Your glorious Word.

I love, need, trust and want You Lord. Do all You must in using me exactly as You know is best. Thank You. Praise You. Amen.
