Thank You Father.
I slept. Woke. Dozed. Slept again. And continued singing each time.
Thank You for early morning color changes in the sky. Gradual layers and levels of intensity. Each eastern facing opening offering its own view of the vibrancy taking place.
(5:46 a.m.)
Until it's all but gone. Pale golds, yellows, even gray replace the bright pinks and oranges of just moments before. Reminding me once again how fleeting are our experiences this side of heaven.
Thank You God that we have Your Word of Truth and promises. Thank You that we can come before You. Just as we are.
(6:06 s.m.)
Thank You for the shades of pink toward the east as the sun breaks over the mountain. Thank You for the awe that takes place as I consider the beauty You offer us.
Reading in Ecclesiastes about the brevity of all things “under the sun” I go further into Your Word. Psalm 90:12 and Isaiah 40:8 especially.
(7:06 a.m.)
Still reading and considering. Lord, thank You for who and all You are.
I want to “fear [fully esteem and revere] You and obey Your commands” (Ecclesiastes 12:13a). “Teach us to make the most of our time, so that we grow in wisdom” (Psalm 90:12).
(7:26 a.m.)
“The grass withers, and the flowers fade [as do colors in the sky], but the word of God stands forever” (Isaiah 40:8). Use me as You know is best.
I love, need, trust and want You Lord.
