I’ve been reciting Psalm 18:1 for hours. Reading the Sunday comics and working on word jumbles. I even started singing to You. All in the effort of getting myself back to sleep.
None of it worked Lord. So here I am. Watching the very early morning change from one moment to the next. First there were no visible planets. Now there are two.
Thank You for change Dear Lord.
I don’t normally say or even think that. Yet here I am thanking You deeply for all the changes You bring about. Helping to mold and shape us into becoming the people You would have us be.

Well, this was delightfully unexpected. An e-article about how being grateful can actually change our brains.

Oh, this is so cool! The waning crescent moon is just now coming up in the east. Talk about being grateful for change. I’ve never seen this before.
Thank You Lord for such simple delights. An opportunity of rewiring my brain just for being grateful? Sign me up for this.

Much earlier I playfully started singing a song from my youth. As I consider it again now I can see Your Truth in it. With all due respect, I bring it to You with the sincerest attitude of worship.

Well, Love Is All Around me
And so the feeling grows♪
It’s campy. Perhaps a bit sappy. Yet so true. Your love IS all around me! Thank You Father!

Come on and let it show♪
There is no beginning, nor end, to Your love for us. And it is on Your love that we can depend.
Thank You Lord for loving us with a love that is truly all around. Continue Your work in teaching us to simply let it show!
No pretense. No effort. Just allowing the love You continuously pour into us to flow freely through us to others.
I love, need, trust and want You Lord. Do all You must that I will learn to love as You would have me love (Mark 12:30-31, 1 Corinthians 13:4-7). Gratefully. Unconditionally. Thank You. Praise You. Amen.
