 Thursday, August 28, 2025 (6:10 a.m.)

Grumble. Growl. Grumpy. Grateful. Yes. Thank You. Grateful is here. Yes. Thank You. It  truly is. Complete with a smile.

There is a whole lot of change taking place. Another month coming to an end.

Holy, Awesome God,

Thank You for allowing me these sad feelings I keep experiencing. Thank You that try as I may, I have yet to avoid them. Hold them at bay.

♪… Worship Through It

Before I see my breakthrough

I’m gonna choose to praise You

I will sing “Hallelujah” to the One

Who can do what the world says can’t be done

I know my God can do it

So, I’m gonna worship through it♪

Thank You most holy God and Father. I am confessing such deep sadness to You. I admit wanting to fix rather than feel it. Thank You that You know what You would have me do.

I no longer have the one person in my life who kept me most balanced and evenly keeled. Oh look. Here come the tears. Thank You for these as well.

Thank You for Your provisions Father. Time. Opportunity. Please provide the willingness I need to take the next step You have for me.

Erase all the cluttered mess I keep trying to bring to You. This is a brand new day. Filled with all the possibilities You would have me access. Show me which direction to go.

Quoting an e-article on the function of sadness I feel hopeful. Thank You Father.

“… Acknowledging and experiencing sadness also helps us reach a place of acceptance to move forward… Our sadness may actually help us create a new or different version of our life!” That seems inviting.

“… If we don’t allow ourselves to feel sadness, we often miss out on other emotions, like love and joy.” I confess to attempting to bypass the sadness Lord. Override it. Go around it.

“…we need to feel all of our emotions, pay attention to what they may be trying to tell us… Sadness reminds us of what matters to us…”

♪Father, let Your Kingdom come

Father, let Your will be done

Right here in my heart♪

Thank You for sadness Lord. Let me feel it. Use it for my good and Your glory (Romans 8:28 - what a perfect verse for today’s date! 8/28 ;)
