celebrating surrender

 Sunday, September 1, 2024 (5:25 a.m.)

Holy God,

Thank You. You’re working in us. Teaching us to communicate. Honestly. Openly. Willingly. Expressing feelings. Without ire. Or desire to hurt.

You provide us the simplest of joys for which to be grateful. Music. Nature. Vocabulary. Connections.

Mm, yes. You teach us to care. To love. Respect. Sing. Smile. Stand firmly on Your Word. Staying our minds on Jesus.

Father, thank You for who You are and all You do. Thank You for the interests You instill in us. Thank You for the struggle and tension that develops within us when we are tempted to step out of Your will.

Yes Lord. You teach us. Lead us. Guide us. Discipline us when necessary. Along with blessing, keeping and turning Your face toward us. You are gracious. You smile. And You give us Your peace (Numbers 6:24-26).

You help us learn to deal with big feelings. Something I watched a dad walk through with his toddler yesterday. Lord, thank You that Your lessons surround us always.

We can choose to stay stuck in our patterns. Our habits. Or we can look to and call on You. Trusting Yours to be the much better way.

Today I am again choosing ♪to celebrate another day of living… another day of life♪ Asking (Matthew 7:7) You to continue Your work in, with, by, through and for me. Teaching me to keep celebrating surrendering to Your will for my good.

1 John 5:21. New Living Translation. “Dear children, keep away from anything that might take God’s place in your hearts.”

Yes Dear Lord. Keep my focus on You. And all You know is best. I love, need, trust and want You. Use me. Thank You. Praise You. Amen.
