Most Holy God,
I made another incorrect assumption. Because of the rain, I told myself there would be nothing in the sky worth getting up early enough to see. Wrong!
Thank You for all there is to take in. Many times I lack a willingness to be surprised by You. Thank You for surprising me anyway!
Shades of blues in the cloudy sky and outlines of the distant mountains were breathtaking. Enough that I went out to recreate yesterday’s glorious view.
Didn’t happen. Instead I am snuggly warm inside. Perched and watching the cloud cover grow. Father, thank You.
I want to be open to YOUR plan for me!
I have nowhere to be. Nothing to prove. I truly want Your best. No matter what it looks like.
(7:28 a.m.)
Thank You for just reminding me of an unexpected interruption yesterday. I had started one project. Got side tracked. Completely moved on to another. Not remembering the first at all.
Until the crash. A scraping sound. Realizing the back access to the newish car was up as the garage was starting to open.
Thank You God that my very first words were, “Oh Lord! Thank You God.”
Not a curse. Nor any profanity as has been my norm here of late.
Nope! “Oh Lord! Thank You God.”
I recognized the significance of those words immediately. Thank You for bringing me back to being both surprised and comforted by You.
Do all You must in making me see all that You have for me.
