Glorious Father God,
The two grandest words for me so far this morning both began with “g”. Each referencing the sunrise. “Gorgeous” for the initial shock of color. Followed by “glorious” as the clouds shifted and the shades intensified before fading away.
THAT’s the way I love starting the day! With such gratitude. Leading straight to praise and worship of our one true God and Father. Thank You Lord. For such brief reminders.
Glorious one moment. And gone [another ‘g’ word] the next.
(7:45 a.m.)
Searching those two words together I found two completely different stories. One profoundly sad. Detailing clinical depression, followed by the taken of one’s own life. The other? A video showing a grandson surprising his grandmother on her 100th birthday. Just for fun.
Father, thank You for the ways You get my attention. A glorious sunrise. Followed by immense gratitude. A simple search of words. And now? The Glory of the New Covenant (2 Corinthians 3:7-18). Us, reflecting Your glory (v. 18).
Blessed God, use me exactly as You know is best. I love, need, trust and want You as absolute God of my life. Thank You. Praise You. Amen.
