the Spirit within

Thank You Father. Waking VERY early this morning. Just after midnight. Singing of Your ♪Firm Foundation♪ Thank You.

Getting to come before You. Exactly as I am. Completely in need of Your guidance. Your direction. Your Spirit. Yes Lord. Your Spirit within me!

Thank You for directing me to Romans 8. With fresh eyes. A very open heart. Mind. And soul.

I confess to You Dear Lord, I have shirked decision making for quite some time now. I look to others for advice. Approval. I remain unmoved. Wanting so much to not make mistakes keeps me frozen in place.

Forgive me Father. I’d much rather trust You and “Pedal!” as You know is best. With You in front.

Even as I consider riding in tandem with You, I am reminded how You completely encompass me. Saint Patrick is credited with the request I often have of You. That You would go before, behind, beside, beneath, above and within me.

Thank You that because of Your Holy Spirit living within (John 14:16

Thank You for this extended time to sit here with You. Exploring You Word. Searching verses (Ephesians 5:21-25) and chapters (Romans 8, Colossians 3) of Your Truth and promises.

Thank You that while this life we live here is fleeting (Psalm 39:4-6) where we put our hope (v. 7) is secure! “Teach us to make the most of our time, so that we may grow in wisdom” (Psalm 90:12).

While “the thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy” Jesus’ “purpose is to give live in all its fullness” (John 10:10). Teach me Dear Lord how to make decisions that honor and glorify You.

I love You. I need You. I trust and I want You Lord. Thank You for this unhurried time of being with You. Use me as You know is best. Loving You, others and myself with all my heart, soul, mind and strength (Mark 12:30-31). Thank You. Praise You. Amen.
