marveling

 Wednesday, October 2, 2024 (4:51 a.m.)

Father God,

How I thank You. Odd dreams mean I was that deep in sleep. Details that make absolutely no sense to me allow me to wonder. Ponder. Remember. Marvel.

There’s a word I don’t use often. Marvel. Show me more please, I ask (Matthew 7:7). I’m familiar with delighting in You. Now I get to marvel. Yes, please.

Searching the Internet, I find many ways of marveling. Did I ever even think of this word as a verb? Or mostly as a comic.

We marvel at Your hand. Your feet. Creation. Direction. Power. Your works. And world. Having experienced many of these these past many months, again I thank You.

The peace that passes understanding that Your apostle Paul wrote of to the believers in Philippi amazes me. The Message states Your Truth using these words, “Summing it all up, friends, I’d say you’ll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious - the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse. Put into practice what you’ve learned from me, what you heard and saw and realized. Do that, and God, who makes everything work together, will work you into His most excellent harmonies” (Philippians 4:8-9).

Turning to and standing firmly on Your Word I get to experience what The Life Recovery Bible references in Recovery Leads to True Joy. “We can have joy even during the tough times - because real joy does not come from outward circumstances but from inward strength.”

And where does that inward strength begin? In, with, by and through Your gracious favor. Your unconditional love that Paul wrote of to the church at Corinth. Your power made strong in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).

Have Thine Own Way Lord… You are the Potter We are the clay…♪ Do all You must that we will spend our time here marveling at the wonders You have for us. I love, need, trust and want You Lord. Use me as You know is best. Thank You. Praise You. Amen.
