Blessed God,
I’m looking for a new strategy. One that will let me sleep. What do you think Lord. Will You help me out?
(4:57 a.m.)
Psalm 4:8. “In peace I will lie down and sleep, for You alone, O LORD, will keep me safe.”
Psalm 3:5. “I lie down and sleep; I wake again because the LORD sustains me.”
Proverbs 3:24. “You can go to bed without fear; you will lie down and sleep soundly.”
Isaiah 26:3-4. “You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in You, all whose thoughts are fixed on You! Trust in the LORD always, for the LORD GOD is the eternal Rock.”
Hmm… “in perfect peace…” Yes please Father. I want to learn to keep my mind stayed on You. Because I trust You.
I do, You know.
(5:27 a.m.)
Thank You that there is MUCH written about learning better sleep strategies. One of them includes praying Your Word back to You. Tonight I am eager to begin with Psalm 18:1.
“I love You, LORD; You are my strength.”
Yes! You are. Let’s start there.
Thank You for Your presence here with us. Thank You for Your plans. The ones for good and not for evil. The ones that give us a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). Use them [and me!] exactly as You know is best.
Do in, with, by, through and for me all the is necessary that I come to “Listen!” And truly know You as the one and only LORD. Loving You with all of my heart, soul, mind and strength. And my neighbor as myself. “No other commandment is greater than these” (Mark 12:30-31).
Yes Father. I love, need, trust and want You as absolute LORD of my life. Thank You. Praise You. Amen.
