Awesome God,
Thank You. You reminded me again. I am so loved (John 3:16). And I am called to pray (Philippians 4:6, 1 Thessalonians 5:17). Thank You very much.
Right there in the middle of the darkened room. Not yet fully awake. The reminder of decades past. “When you can’t sleep, pray for whoever comes to mind.” And I did!
One thought led straight to the next. This person’s name and/or needs quickly gave way to another. An eager, excitement [agog-ness] took root. Thank You Father.
Thank You for reminding me of all the blessings You have provided me throughout my lifetime. People. Places. Things. Examples. Most importantly You. Your Word. Your Truth. Your promises.
Father, how I ask (Matthew 7:7a) You to use me. Exactly as You know is best. Loving You. Others. Myself. Completely. With all heart, soul, mind and strength. (Mark 12:30-31).
What an incredibly tall order. Thank You for reminding me that “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength” (Philippians 4:13).

You amaze me Blessed Father. Waking to various songs singing in my mind:

I’m grateful for the musicality You have provided me. Thank You for singing Your Truth to me in so many ways.

I confess to getting wildly distracted just now. One moment I’m singing Your praises. And the next? Near panic set in while I started reading about gopher control.
Father God, how I ask (Matthew 7:7a) You to again place Your hand on my quivering, shaky demeanor. Steady and strengthen me as only You know is best.
Taking the word shaky to Hebrews 12:12 I’m delighted to be reading Your Truth. Hebrews 12 and 13: God’s Discipline Proves His Love (12:1-13), A Call to Listen to God (12:14-19), Concluding Words (Chapter 13).

I read. Think. Fear (people, places, things). Teach me Dearest Dad to FEAR [Fully Esteem And Revere] You instead!

Ecclesiastes 12:13. The Message. “The last and final word is this: Fear God. Do what He tells you.”
Yes please Lord.

Empower and enable me in hearing and obeying Your call on me. “When the Spirit of Truth comes, He will guide you into all the Truth, for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak, and He will declare to you the things that are to come” (John 16:13).
(8:24 a.m.)
And from there I go straight over to verse 33. Jesus’ continued words to His disciples. “These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation, but be of good cheer: I have overcome the world.”
Have peace. Yes please! Peace in, with, by, through and for You. Yes.
Much earlier You directed my thoughts to the “grace notes” You add to my life.
(9:08 a.m.)
“A phrase used to describe God’s unmerited favor… the idea that God’s kindness and help are freely given, not earned.”
I am aware of MANY of the grace notes You have provided me throughout the years. Blessed Father God, I am so very grateful to You. Continue growing me as You know is necessary to better use me to Your glory.
I love, need, trust and want You. Thank You. Praise You. Amen.
