Thank You Lord,
Again I got to wake up singing. Of You. Your Truth.
(5:49 a.m.)
Thank You again, Lord. Time spent searching the story behind this particular song. I’m blessed to again be taken into Your Word. Praise You Father.
Ephesians 2:7-10. The Message. “Now God has us where He wants us, with all the time in this world and the next to shower grace and kindness upon us in Christ Jesus.”
I intentionally drove behind a panel truck on the freeway yesterday because of the words playfully painted on the back roll-up door. “Throw kindness around like confetti.” You do that for us Lord. I want to follow Your example.
“Saving is all His idea, and all His work. All we do is trust Him enough to let Him do it. It’s God’s gift from start to finish! We don’t play the major role. If we did, we’d probably go around bragging that we’d done the whole thing! No, we neither make nor save ourselves. God does both the making and saving. He creates each of us by Christ Jesus to join Him in the work He does, the good work He has gotten ready for us to do, work we had better be doing.”
Mm, yes, Father. I want to do the good work You have for me this good day! Not in my own strength or power. No. In, with, by, through and for You!
You have provided me with tremendous opportunities to explore my erratic emotions these past several months. Thank You Father that I don’t have to be either afraid nor ashamed of them.
Thank You that “If we claim we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and not living in the Truth. But if we confess our sins to Him, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness” (1 John 1:8-9).
How truly grateful I am that You are such a good and faithful Father. “Some areas of our life need more cleaning than others! God doesn’t get angry when we come back to Him repeatedly. There is not need to feel awkward. God wants us to come to Him every time we sin” (Recurrent Sins The Life Recovery Bible).
I continue becoming afraid of making mistakes Lord. Staying paralyzed for fear of making another one. Do all You must in breaking me free from regret and defeat. Singing instead:
♪Hello, My Name Is child of the One True King
I’ve been saved, I’ve been changed, I’ve been set free
‘Amazing Grace’ is the song I sing♪
Yes Father. Do what only You can in making this:
♪a good day, good day
No matter what they say
Sun is shining down on me
Birds are singing praise
I’m ‘bout to have a good day
In every single way
The God who made the universe
Knows me by my name
So it’s a good day♪
Mm, yes. Empower and enable me in seeing and utilizing all You have provided me this very good day. I love, need, trust and want You Lord. Use me as You know is best. Thank You. Praise You. Amen.
