Holy God,
Thank You. I woke up feeling discontent. Still adjusting. Wanting more sleep. Wanting different than I have. Different than I am. Thank You that I can bring all these thoughts and feelings straight to You.
Entering Your gates with thanksgiving in my heart. Going into Your courts with praise. Giving thanks to You and praising Your name (Psalm 100:4).
Thank You that You are good. Your unfailing love continues forever, and Your faithfulness continues to each generation (v. 5).
I want this to be enough Dearest Lord.

And here is the verse that brings the first smile of the day. Psalm 90:14. “Satisfy us each morning with Your unfailing love, so we may sing for joy to the end of our lives.” Yes please. I want to be satisfied and singing.

Oh but wait. Here’s more!
“I hear [actually, just last week, I SAW!] the tumult of the raging seas as Your waves and surging tides sweep over me. But each day the LORD pours His unfailing love upon me, and through each night I sing His songs, praying to God who gives me life” (Psalm 42:7-8).
Thank You for the songs You have been pouring into my heart, soul and mind. Old Testament Psalms and modern day praises of worship.
