Holy God,
Good morning. And thank You very much.
(7:14 a.m.)
Yes Father. Thank You.
I’ve come outside. It’s brisk. Soothing. Is that the word I want? I don’t think so.
Let’s leave it and move on…
Still thankful. Yes! And singing. ♪I wanna be Different I wanna be changed♪
(7:48 a.m.)
I went to bed last night thinking I’m ready and wanting to get back on track. I woke up wondering, “What track do I want to get back on?”
Father, thank You for the sense of peace and contentment I’m experiencing while being outside with You right now. Taking in the sights and sounds.
Peaceful. Calm. Breathing in the scent of freshly mown lawn.
Lord, I want You to use me as You alone know is best. Lovingly. Joyfully. Peacefully. Patiently. Kindly. Virtuously. Faithfully. Gently. In, with, by, through and for the strength of Your Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23a).
Yes! None of anything I could ever hope to accomplish can be achieved without the strength of Your mighty power (Ephesians 6:10). I need You Dearest God. To lead, guide, orchestrate and direct my steps.
Oh yes Dearest Dad. “In his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps” (Proverbs 16:9). Establish and secure my steps I ask (Matthew 7:7a).
YOU know the plans You have for me. Plans for good and not for evil. Plans to give me a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). I have a tendency toward self sabotage. Get me out of Your way that the Holy Spirit can truly take charge.
♪I wanna be different I wanna be changed ’Til all of me is gone And all that remains Ohh is a fire so bright The whole world can see That there’s something different So come and be different I just wanna be different So You can be different In me!♪
YES! THAT!! Do all You must. Thank You. Praise You. Amen.
