♪DON’T STOP PRAYING♪
(6:34 a.m.)
The song has been persistently unwavering for hours now. Thank You Father. I realize that’s what I want to be. Persistent and unwavering in my belief and trust in You.
Thank You for bringing me to Paul’s Prayer for Spiritual Growth (Ephesians 3:14-21) as a result of reading about Matthew West’s experience with his song. Thank You for the Truth and hope we find in reading and trusting Your Word.
Father, thank You for the privilege of sitting with You. Reading of Your peace, love, faithfulness and grace (Ephesians 6:23-24). Available to all who will believe that Jesus Christ is LORD.
Blessed God, I DO believe! I’ve seen and experienced Your work firsthand in my life. I am truly thankful for Your presence in, with, by, through and for me.
This being true, I confess to floundering. And just like that [snap!] I’m reading Living as Children of Light (vs. 4:17-32).
Thank You that we are to throw off our old sinful nature and former way of life (22a). “Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes” (23). Yes please!
I want very much to persist unwaveringly at Living in the Light (5:1-14). Being careful how I live (v. 15a). Not as a fool (15b), “but like those who are wise” (15c).
Empower, embolden and enable me to “Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days” (16). Not acting thoughtlessly, but understanding what You want me to do (17).
Fill me with Your Holy Spirit Lord (18b). That I will sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs, making music to You in my heart (19). Giving thanks for everything to You, our God and Father in Jesus’ name (20).
It’s been quite some time since I’ve been persistently unwavering in my thinking. How I ask (Matthew 7:7a) You to do all that is necessary in fixing my thoughts on what is true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent and worthy of praise (Philippians 4:8).
I love, need, trust and want You Blessed God. Do all You must in aligning my will to Yours. Thank You. Praise You. Amen.
