safe and sound

 Friday, March 14, 2025 (7:02 a.m.)

Blessed God,

Good morning. And thank You for bringing us home. Safely and soundly.

(8:05 a.m.)

Reading about being made safe (Ephesians 1:4) and sound (Ephesians 4:23-24) in and with You has me smiling. Content. Peaceful. Thank You Father.

Thank You for an excellent trip away from home. Planned by my much loved husband. Celebrating the memories of many occasions. Wedding. Honeymoon cruise. A dress that still fit decades after the fact. Various firsts. And lasts. Many smiles. And a LOT of tears.

Father, thank You for the laughter and love that was intertwined

(8:40 a.m.)

Major distraction! Photo memories popped up online. “Just one more” was my original thought. THAT didn’t work! Thank You for the revisit and reminders of times gone by.

Father God, You are so very good to us. Teach me what You would have me know for today. Empower and embolden me to live it as You would have me. Lovingly. Joyfully. Well.

How I thank You Lord! Reading the introduction to Ephesians in The Life Recovery Bible I am reminded, as were the believers in Ephesus, that You are “the only solid foundation for healthy living.” And that is where we are to place our faith. Yes!

“None of us have the resources or strength to initiate and sustain our recovery alone.” BUT! “We can change!” On YOUR terms! We can depend on Your power to transform and help us change.

Father, how I ask (Matthew 7:7a) You to be in, with, by, through and for me as I go about adjusting to being safe and sound at home again. Provide my every need as You are so perfect at doing.

I love, need, trust and want You. Do all You must in using me exactly as You know is best. Thank You. Praise You. Amen.
